The Los Angeles house and techno brand Cyril Bitar started in warehouses, back when the parties moved addresses to stay ahead of the helicopters. It has since become one of the city's most reliable underground bookers — a handful of large-scale events a year rather than a weekly grind, staged in spaces that are found rather than rented: parking structures, rail yards, city blocks.
