Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of the Electric State app and website at electricstate.app (the “Service”), operated by Electric State (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Electric State. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
You may delete your account at any time at electricstate.app/account-deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Tickets and Payments
Some events on Electric State sell tickets through the Service. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. When you buy a ticket, your contract for admission is with the event organizer, not with Electric State. We act as a technology platform and ticketing agent.
Event organizers set their own refund, transfer, and entry policies. Unless stated otherwise at the point of sale, ticket sales are final. Organizers are responsible for the event taking place as advertised, including lineup changes, delays, cancellations, and venue conditions.
If an event is cancelled, refunds are handled by the organizer under their stated policy. We will pass on refund requests and assist where we can, but we are not the guarantor of the event.
4. Organizer Accounts
If you list events or sell tickets through Electric State, you additionally agree to provide accurate event information, to honor tickets sold, to comply with applicable law and venue requirements, and to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. You are responsible for your own tax obligations. We may remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of reviews, ratings, comments, chat messages, photos, and other content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service.
Don't post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or spam. We may remove content and restrict accounts at our discretion. Ratings and reviews must reflect genuine personal experience — fabricated or incentivized reviews are prohibited.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the Service.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Resell tickets in violation of an organizer's terms or applicable law.
- Impersonate another person, artist, venue, or organizer.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited marketing.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third parties, including Spotify, Apple, Google, Stripe, and Mixcloud. Your use of those integrations is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
If you connect your Spotify account, we import the artists you follow and your most-played artists in order to match them against event lineups. Content and data provided through that integration belong to Spotify and its licensors. Spotify does not sponsor, endorse, or certify Electric State. You can disconnect at any time, and disconnecting stops any further import.
Event and artist information may also come from public sources and event organizers. We make no warranty that third-party information is accurate or current.
8. Event Information
Lineups, dates, venues, prices, and taste-match scores shown in the Service are provided for discovery and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always confirm details with the organizer or official event page before making travel or purchase decisions.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Electric State will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
